New Leadership in Honduras- Meet the Lunas
"If you really want to be an uncommon leader, you're going to have to find a way to get much of your vision seen, implemented, and added to by others." John C. Maxwell
A Smile, and an Encouraging Word
You can have one without the other, but the impact is so much greater when you have both! Bremelly is the smile, and Jorge is the encouraging word. This Christian couple is from Guatemala and has a deep love for their culture and their people. They came to the U.S. twelve years ago, a decision which enabled new connections and opportunities for themselves as well as their three daughters. Relationship, is such a strong value in their lives that they have remained close in heart, mind, and spirit with their family and friends in Guatemala, and have served many years in volunteer mission capacities in both Guatemala and Honduras. They understand and value initiatives that provide a connection to local resources and a strategic opportunity for a better life in one’s own country.
Jorge, as the Mission Lazarus Director of Operations for Honduras, will provide excellence in leadership that safeguards our central focus to transform lives with the Good News of Jesus Christ. One of Jorge’s gifts is an ability to connect with others authentically and speak encouraging words to the heart, gently challenge the mind to new possibilities, and hold the employee accountable for the terms of the relationship and the responsibilities of the position he holds. Discipling our leadership team on a daily basis is a critical investment for the success and growth of our different outreach initiatives. Jorge will also work to strengthen mission ties to the evangelical community at large in Honduras as well as strengthen our working relationships with likeminded NGO and government partners and counterparts in Honduras.
Bremelly, as the Family Clinic Administrator, will coordinate medical practitionersand specialists who serve in the clinic while ensuring that all volunteers follow our established protocols and procedures for the best patient outcome possible. Having worked in the U.S. health care industry for over ten years, Bremelly is uniquely qualified to“bridge the gap” between our national medical staff and the medical professionals who volunteer from the U.S.
Mission Lazarus is fully aware that further maturity and growth of the ministry depends on the procurement of the right couple for this critical leadership position. God has made it abundantly clear that He has chosen this couple, and that in itself is worthy of celebration. Join us in support of Jorge and Bremelly Luna. We are looking for committed individuals who believe in the work of Mission Lazarus, but more importantly, believe that God has called his children to the ministry of transformation as a way of reconciling Himself to the world.
