Connectedness is a major indicator of the present and future success of a family and its members. Strong families demonstrate a greater ability to "bounce back" from hardships and grow stronger through challenges. We provide resources, education, counseling, and direct care to increase family resilience and the likelihood that families will stay together. We also care for vulnerable children who require removal from their home due to abuse, neglect, or the death of their parents.
We believe in holistic caregiving because every child should experience what it means to be cherished. The Refuge is a community of group homes where children experience an environment that nurtures the mind, body, and soul. Through an emphasis on consistency, routine, and supervision, we honor each child’s story, trusting in God’s power to heal wounds and redeem every situation.
Counseling and Support
Our evangelists provide counseling and support services to families in their communities through home visits, seminars, and curricula for individual, small group, and congregational Bible studies. They "rejoice with those who rejoice and weep with those who weep," to build relationships of love, hospitality and accountability.
