Message from the Head of School
Hello again, Lazarus Academy community! We thank God for allowing us to complete another week and begin a new one, and we hope that each family is full of blessings and much happiness. We continue to work and learn, and as you know, last week our students underwent educational tests as a review of our third quarter lessons. Each week we get closer to our final exams, and we ask that you to continue to motivate and support your children so that they can be confident of themselves and test to the best of their ability. Our third quarter exams are scheduled for August 29 through September 2.
We can not say too often that the comprehensive development of our students is the most important thing to us, and part of that process includes developing a love and passion for reading. One of our board members, Amanda Carcamo, along with her mother and daughters, visited the school and created a system for our library, which both our students and our teachers will enjoy for years to come. Our cofounder, Allison Brown, has filled our library with wonderful books in both English and Spanish for our students edification and enjoyment.
Another exciting event happened last Friday morning when our high school students began to prepare the soil for our school garden. We will plant and care for a variety of vegetables and are so excited to watch all of our students learn to farm. Thank you to our agriculture teacher, Mr. Ramón Mejía!
Please do not hesitate to come by the school to see us or give us a call if you have any concerns or ideas to share with us. Have a great week!
