Message from the Head of School
Hello to you! We thank God for a well deserved rest that has allowed us to return to school with new energy and enthusiam to participate in a week full of activities and many blessings. After giving thanks to God on Monday and praising His name in song and scripture, we also learned a little about the values that we can acquire through the example of Jesus Christ. Our focused value at school this month is Patience.
Wednesday, July 20, we celebrated International Chess Day with a friendly tournament among our elementary school students. While we congratulate all our participants on a job well done, three students performed extraordinarily well.
- In First Place, Ronald Bonilla (third grader)
- In Second Place, Caleb Alaniz (first grader), and
- In Third Place, Pedro Ángel Dávila.
We also celebrated several national holidays and enjoyed honoring a large part of our identity - our citizenship in the world as Hondurans! We enjoyed a true cultural civic festival, celebrating with our students and parents, as well as visitors from other schools, to come and celebrate our culture. We tasted many delicious Honduran dishes, watched colorful dancers and listened to amazing music. Where you come from has so much to do with identity and we are all so proud to be Hondurans!!!
Please do not hesitate to come by the school to see us or give us a call if you have any concerns or ideas to share with us. Have a great week!
