Education and Action

• Health screenings:  With local community leaders, we plan and conduct screenings in schools and communities.
• Sanitation:  We often use volunteers to aid a community in reaching the goal for every family to have a latrine which helps protect clean water sources.
• Health campaigns:  Our medical team visits outlying communities to discuss lifestyle modifications that improve nutrition, hygiene, road safety, and prevent infection.

Building New Infrastructure

We often receive requests to improve the quality of life in a community through construction and engineering projects.  This is often our first touchpoint in the community and leads to deeper relationships.  

• Building houses, schools and churches
• Expanding the electrical grid
• Digging water wells
• Building bridges
• Road creation and repair

Financial Insecurity

One of the greatest challenges facing communities is financial insecurity due to a lack of industry or a lack of fair wages.  Without a secure or sufficient income, almost every basic need overwhelms the available earnings - a safe dry home, food, medicine, school supplies.    

Job Creation

We look for opportunities to create fair employment and currently operate several businesses in the leather, lumber, coffee, and hospitality industries that provide and fair and livable wage for workers and their families.

What is the difference?

Crisis Relief is the immediate response to the basic urgent needs of victims, such as food and water, medical attention, and clothing.  Crisis Response is the ongoing response to assist in rebuilding what has been lost in the community - safety, homes, and livelihoods.  As a relationship organization, we commit to both crisis relief and crisis response.
