A Latrine, a Pastor, and a Transformed Life: Rosalina’s Incredible Journey of Faith

Rosalina Estrada, 32, had always lived with the heavy burden of single motherhood after her husband left when their son Esaú was just 4 years old. For years, she struggled to provide for her two young children, Yeilin and Esaú, while carrying the weight of her challenges alone.

But what started with a simple visit from a pastor and a much-needed latrine from a local mission organization would become the catalyst for a powerful transformation. Through this unexpected encounter, Rosalina was introduced to the love of Christ, and her life took a turn that she never could have imagined.

Fast forward to December 10, 2023—Rosalina's impact was felt in a powerful way when Elsa Cárcamo, a member of her community, made the life-changing decision to follow Christ and was baptized. Rosalina’s discipleship played a key role in Elsa’s journey, proving that the seeds of faith Rosalina had planted were growing into a thriving community of believers.

Every Sunday, Rosalina walks over an hour to attend church, bringing a group of children along with her, eager to worship and learn. It’s a testament to the power of faith, showing that when God’s love enters our lives, it has the power to reach far beyond ourselves.
