Shednaylove: A Story of Transformation

Seven years ago, Shednaylove Honoré entered Lazarus Academy Haiti as a quiet, uncertain child. At just 3 years old, she lost her mother when she passed away suddenly. Without a father in her life, Shednaylove was taken in by her grandmother, who already had a full household to care for.

Today, at 10 years old, Shednaylove is a thriving 5th grader, filled with hope and ambition. The shy, confused little girl who first arrived at the school in 2017 has grown into a confident, happy person. Her transformation is a reflection of the care and support she’s received from a community committed to giving children like her a chance at a better future.
