Forgotten Faces: Bringing Health and Hope to the Abandoned

What if your life depended on medical care that was nowhere to be found?

For thousands of Hondurans, this isn’t just a fear—it’s their reality.

Scattered across the remote mountains and dense jungles of southern Honduras, entire villages live completely off the land, farming just enough to survive. These subsistence farmers and their families work tirelessly to grow beans and corn, yet when sickness strikes, there is nowhere to turn.

No doctors.
No medicine.
No clinics.

Yet, in the midst of this crisis, Mission Lazarus saw an opportunity to bring hope where there was none.

When our founder, Jarrod Brown, witnessed this heartbreaking reality, he refused to accept it. His vision? To build something that would change lives for generations.

In 2002, construction began on the Mission Lazarus Medical Clinic, located in Las Pitas, a deeply isolated jungle village where access to health care was non-existent. What may seem like just a small clinic to some has become a lifeline for twelve surrounding villages, all made up entirely of hardworking families who rely on the land to survive.

For thousands of men, women, and children, this clinic represents more than just medicine—it is a place of healing for both body and soul.

Every patient who walks through its doors not only receives medical care but also hears the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. Our pastors are there every day, offering prayer, encouragement, and the eternal hope of salvation.

This is more than health care. This is the restoration of faith, dignity, and the belief that no one is forgotten by God.

We are not just changing lives—we are renewing hope in Christ Jesus, one patient at a time.
